Grace Malathy


Ms Grace M graduated from the University of London with LLB (Honours) in 1994. She completed the UK Bar Finals with Lincoln’s Inn and was called to the Bar in 1997.

In the meantime, Ms Grace M concurrently undertook a Graduate Diploma in Education with the Nanyang Technological University which she also completed in 1997.

Thereafter Ms Grace M pursued a Graduate Diploma in Law in the National University of Singapore and graduated in 1998. She then went on to obtain two Masters degree, one in Law from the University of Wolverhampton, UK and one in Science from Nanyang Technological University.

Ms Grace M has more than 13 years of experience in litigation and specialises in family work, adoption lawyer and personal injury claims in Singapore. She is passionate about justice and strives to get the best possible outcome for our clients. She personally handles all the matters of the firm in order to ensure the highest quality of work.

Ms Grace M successfully negotiated a $100,000.00 settlement of a personal injury suit on behalf of a client involved in an industrial accident which was reported in The New Paper on 1 November 2008 and reproduced in AsiaOne online newspaper on 3 November 2008.

Our Ms Grace M  won a highly acrimonious High Court appeal which allowed the children to live with their mother. The High Court judgment can be found in Singapore Law Watch and the case was also reported in New Paper on 1 December 2010.


Mr Kalaithasan

Mr Kalaithasan S/O Karuppaya graduated from the University of London with LLB (Honours) in 1999. He has also completed Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with University of Southern Queensland, Australia in 2003

Mr Kalai (as he is commonly known) has more than 16 years of Court experience in diverse range of Singapore laws. He is an experienced trial litigator with more than 100 trials. He is highly adept at presenting recommendations to decision-makers including Judges. Mr Kalai is a solutions-driven legal professional.

Mr Kalai was an Assistant Public Prosecutor with the Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC) from 2001 – June 2017 and has prosecuted criminal cases in the State Courts of Singapore focusing on offences under the Penal Code, Misuse of Drug, Immigration Act, Road Traffic Act, Women’s Charter, Miscellaneous Offences and Public Order act, Moneylenders Act, Prevention of Corruption Act and the Protection from Harassment Act.

Mr Kalai was also seconded from AGC between July 2011 – December 2014 to the Ministry of Health (MOH) as Assistant Director (Legal) (Court Prosecution and Registry) and has provided comprehensive range of legal services to the MOH including protecting the interests of the Government, the Ministry, and the public healthcare sector at large. He has also advised the various divisions on related legislative Acts and regulations under the purview of the MOH. Whilst at MOH, he has prosecuted criminal cases in the State Courts of Singapore focusing on offences under the Medical Registration Act, Optician and Optometrist Act, Dental Registration Act, Infectious diseases Act and the Private Hospitals and Medical Clinics Act to name a few. He has drafted and vetted Memorandum of understandings, Tenders, Government Gazettes and other confidential documents while he was seconded to the MOH.

Mr Kalai loves sports and has represented the Legal Service Football team from 2001 till 2015 and has taken part in various football tournaments on behalf of AGC and the Law Society of Singapore (LSS). He has also represented AGC, MOH, LSS and Jalan Kayu CSC in bowling tournaments and till today continues to represent LSS and Jalan Kayu CSC in bowling tournaments.
